New education policy poses threat to multicultural, multilingual and multiracial society: Tript Bajwa

CHANDIGARH: The Higher Education Minister, Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa expressed grave concern at the draft of the new Education policy released by the Union Government. Addressing a seminar organized by the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of the un-aided colleges, the minister said that the new education policy if implemented would pose a challenge to the Multicultural, Multilingual environment of the country. He further said that though the policy reiterates India as a Democratic Republic with Justice and Equal Opportunities for everybody but the word ‘Secular’ has been omitted which is a cause of concern for the religious and linguistic minorities of the country.
